Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Ri AI Assistant website and its live demo. The Ri app has not been released yet; when it launches it will have its own privacy policy covering the app itself.

The rules for using the demo are in the Terms of Use.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you type into the form. That is the only information you actively give us.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, location, or any other detail, and there are no accounts to create.

Why we collect it

To send you one message when Ri launches. We do not send newsletters, marketing campaigns, or promotional email, and we do not sell, rent, or share your address with anyone for their own purposes.

Audio is used for one thing only: producing the result the demo shows you. We do not use it to train our models.

What happens to demo audio

When you transcribe or synthesise something, it goes to our server, which passes it to our own models running on Hugging Face. The result comes back to you and the request ends.

We do not keep it. Nothing you send to the demo is saved to a database or a file we control. Our servers record only how long a request took, not the content of your audio. While the model is processing your request, your audio exists temporarily on the machine running it and is removed once processing is complete.

Because a recording of someone's voice is personal to them, please only upload audio you have the right to share. If it contains other people, they should know.

Services we rely on

We are a small project and we do not run all of this ourselves. These companies handle data on our behalf:

• Formspree receives the waitlist form and delivers the address to us.
• Hugging Face runs the models the demo calls.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or any similar technology, and it stores nothing in your browser.

Removing your details

Email us and we will take your address off the waitlist. You do not have to give a reason, and we will confirm once it is done. You can also ask what we hold for you, which for almost everyone is a single line: an email address and the date it arrived.

There is nothing to delete from the demo, because we do not keep what you send it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. The policy will be replaced with a fuller one when the Ri app is released.
